Prayer Needed for Our Partners in Southeast Asia

Prayer Needed for Our Partners in Southeast Asia

World Poverty Solutions Staff – May 25, 2017

Please join us in praying for two urgent prayer requests from our partner in a restricted access country in Asia. Recently, a cult movement in the area led several people from the truth and one of the leaders of this cult movement killed six people, including children. We received a limited details of this tragedy, but our partners have requested immediate prayer for the situation. The actions of this cult could also cause further government persecution and hardship for Christians in the area. Please pray for the families involved, as well as the safety and freedom of our brothers and sisters in the area.

Another family from the same country is facing persecution for their faith. After committing her life to Jesus, a young mother was imprisoned. An extended family member came to her home after hearing of her faith in Jesus. The family member tried to force her from her home and land since she was no longer offering sacrifices to the spirits and ancestors. When the new believer refused to give up her home, the family member went to the authorities making false accusations against her and the new believer was arrested. Her husband, children and church family are praying for her immediate release. Please join with us in praying for her and her family.
